Serve as a professional authority in one engineering discipline or specialty area. Collaborate in preliminary and advanced design studies and prepare portions of engineering proposals. Conceive and develop solutions to analytical, design, and test problems that program(s) experience. Aid in establishing systems philosophy and design objectives. Analyze and resolve failures in test and service, sometimes without recourse to intense theoretical studies and test programs. Assure continuity of design features from advanced design through contract completion. Write major portions of complex specifications and engineering reports as a result of advance studies, special engineering investigations, and similar activities. Develop aspects of new theory and design criteria for general application. May lead subsystem design team within project to include technical, cost and schedule responsibility for assigned subsystem. Job Description:
Provide Electrical, Electronic and Mechanical parts support to the Engineering Directorate. Determine the viability of proposed parts for space applications and recommend suitable alternate/replacement parts as required. Generate screening and qualification documents for parts and materials when needed. Review program bill-of-materials to assure that the program requirements are met or exceeded. Provide Procurement support to assure that program schedules are achieved. Qualifications:
Required Qualifications: BS Electrical Engineering or Physics
Preferred Qualifications: Experience Selecting Parts and Materials for Space Applications in Accordance With EEE-INST-002 Solid Writing Technical Writing Skills - Ability to Generate Component Screening and Qualification Requirements Familiar with Military, NASA and ESA Specifications
