Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ECPD or ABET accredited school.
10 years of job-related experience, including 3 years with New York City projects.
PE License in the State of New York, or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
Solid working knowledge of plumbing engineering design principles.
Thorough working knowledge and understanding of the NYC/NYS/NJ Building Code and NYC/NYS/NJ Plumbing Code.
Able to handle multiple projects (with multiple clients and deadlines) simultaneously.
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite 2003, AutoCad 2010).
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Valid Driver's License.
Must obtain negative result on drug screen performed in accordance with URS drug testing policy. Job Description: This position will report directly to the MEP Engineering Department Manager and will interact on a daily basis with mechanical, electrical and fire protection project engineers, as well as the MEP discipline chief engineers.
This position involves plumbing design, including system and equipment selections, preliminary layouts to be drafted in detail by others, specification preparation, review of cost estimates prepared by others and QA/QC review.
Review progress of work by engineering technicians.
Meet with internal project engineers and architects.
Attend external client meetings.
Proposal and presentation interview preparation.
Interact with project managers, project professionals, clients, construction managers, architects and engineers from other firms.
