Senior Network Engineer
Responsible for configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and support of company’s network. Provides technical engineering and best practices concerning the overall network infrastructure. Works on a call rotation basis involving some after hours and weekend work. Provide mentoring and guidance to junior members of the team. Qualifications: - 5-7 years of proven experience working within a large network infrastructure. - Proficient with the following; Cisco Routers and switches, Cisco ASA Firewalls, F5 load balancers, Packet capture technologies including Observer and Wireshark. - Experience implementing and troubleshooting converged networks which would include: IP and MPLS. - Experience with Cisco Wireless products and technologies. - Strong experience with Cisco routers 2800 through 7200 series. - Strong experience with Cisco switches 2960 through 6500 series. - Must be proficient in troubleshooting L2/L3 STP, BGP, EIGRP, QOS, HSRP, VoIP. - Well-organized and efficient, with excellent communication, interpersonal and business skills. Must be a team player with a customer service focus. - Demonstrated effectiveness by successfully leading large-scale, complex projects. - Experience supporting projects through all phases: vision development; selling; design; develop; deploy; and has supported the product when operational. - Experience with analyzing business requirements and designing solutions. - Experience in the Retail Industry is a plus.
Requirements:
Additional Qualifications - B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience. - CCNP or CCSP preferred. Other Network related certification is a plus. - Solid project management and problem-solving skills.
Must be able to consistently hit deadlines and keep network projects on track, facilitate handoffs from one functional area to another, raise red flags, follow-up on success of network projects, identify dependencies and risks, and understand the architectural impact on projects and decisions made during the project.
