Senior Mechanical Engineer - Material Handling #20201
A global leader in design, manufacture, sales and integration of specialized bulk material processing and conveyor equipment is seeking a senior Mechanical Systems Engineer for its northern Indiana headquarters operations. The company markets custom engineered solutions for solving difficult, often unique solid bulk handling processes and material transport challenges. This engineer will work with customers, vendors, sales and inside personnel in design and project management of all aspects of large material handling projects.
Job Responsibilities
Establish project equipment design and construction goals and objectives
Provide project management to insure timely and cost effective construction of equipment that meets and exceeds customer standards
Define and communicate project roles and responsibilities, and identify resources to accomplish goals
Control project schedules and costs
Function as control point for dissemination of project information and use of resources
Plan, maintain and modify schedule to meet customer and company schedules and quality requirements
Serve as senior design person as required
Conduct and document problem solving meetings to effectively deal with issues
Lead/ support project commissioning
Provide training and development to assigned personnel
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology or closely related discipline
Demonstrated technical knowledge of bulk material handling/ conveyor equipments and systems; i.e., bucket elevator, belt and screw conveyor equipments
5+ years of bulk conveyor practical equipment design and application experience a MUST
2+ years of project management experience
Working CAD knowledge; 2D and 3D
Knowledge of mechanism design and related documentation
Practical knowledge of sheet metal and machining processes
Strong communications skills; written, oral and listening
Ability to organize and prioritize workloads
Desire to be with a growing company
Some travel required
