Summary / Responsibilities - Senior Manufacturing Engineer :



Summary



The position is a key part of a close working manufacturing and engineering group that supports our internal and external customers and the operations of the company.



ESSENTIALS DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



As follows, other duties may be assigned.

• Product and process improvement through experiment and applied skills to manufacturing. Specifically focus on the stamping, metal forming and cleaning processes
  
• Work with product Engineering to transition new products into volume production.
  
• Working directly with toolmakers in developing new or enhanced methods of process Controls within the stamping tool and setup methods.
  
• Project leader for new process development, capacity expansion and development. Work with facilities, outside contractors and operations to install high volume systems and processes.
  
• Project Leader for activities aimed towards quality improvement and manufacturing cost reduction of volume products.
  
• Support Overseas operation in Thailand with similar a manufacturing mission.

QUALIFICATIONS



To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily .The requirement listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. • Language skills: Good written and verbal communication skill required.
  
• Math skills: Must be familiar with precision metrology system (high precision Mechanical measurements, vision systems, tool room measurement equipment etc.). Must also be skilled in basic statistical tools, SPC, data analysis, etc…using Excel or other applicable software.
  
• Reasoning Ability: Capable of working directly with manufacturing organization and engineering groups in addressing technical and quality issues with IPT processes and products. Good analytical skills to design and perform experiments necessary for product improvement and new process development. Must be data oriented in analysis and engineering problem solving.
  
• Physical Demands: Reaching above shoulder heights, below waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughtout the day.
  
• Work Environment: Requires exposure to the manufacturing areas where certain areas may require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields, and mandatory hearing protection.

For the most part room temperatures are ambient, lighting and traditional office equipment to be found.

Education/Experience

• Must have relevant experience in a manufacturing environment. Specific experience in ahigh speed precision stamping and/or contamination control a plus. BS(ME, IE or equivalent)
  
• Minimum of 5 years in manufacturing and/or engineering environment. Cad skills and tool design skills a plus.
