Essential Responsibilities * Develop and maintain assembly procedures, equipment, tool and fixture design
* Training of production personnel in the new assembly methods, procedures and the proper use of the tooling
* Act as a liaison between product engineering and manufacturing in new product development and implementation
* Provide day to day shop support in manufacturing issues
* Identify process improvement opportunities (ergonomics, cost reduction, safety) and implement
* Prepare and submit financial justification for approval of capital expenditure (ACE)
* Perform times studies to update / maintain manufacturing process routing as required Qualifications/Requirements * Bachelor's Degree in Industrial / Manufacturing Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
* Minimum 5 years of experience in the Manufacturing industry dealing with electrical / mechanical assembly in process development / improvement Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Desired Characteristics * Well versed in line balancing, assembly work element, time studies, tooling and equipment design and procurement
* Efficient with Microsoft Office Package (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Project.) and MRP system
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred
* Prior experience with Lean Manufacturing is preferred
* Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes and provide efficient solutions
* Strong organizational skills
* Ability to handle diverse activities simultaneously
* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
* Strong oral and written communication skills
