Overview:

Navistar Engine Group, is a global leader in diesel engine production, offering a lineup of high-performance diesel xForce Diesel Enginesare manufactured and assembled at our Huntsville, Alabama campus.

We are seeking aSenior Manufacturing Engineerto advance application of existing technology and systems. Investigate technological horizon for new and developing manufacturing processes.

The successful candidate for this position would reside at this location and work as an extension of our Indianapolis based;Advanced Manufacturing Engineeringteam. The candidate will also be engaged in the purchase and implementation of new engine assembly and test processes that support the developing technology for diesel engines.

Duties and Responsibilities;
*
Product review for assembly (DFA).
* Process definition and documentation.
* Layout proposals.
* Specify and procure necessary equipment.
* Machine Tool Supplier evaluation.
* Equipment qualification and plant start-up assistance.
* Process implementation and product launch support.
* Quality assurance strategy and capability documentation.
* Analyze labor requirements.
* Through-put improvement including uptime and failure analysis.
* Project Management for new product and/or assembly process implementation.
* Facilitate Resolution to Issues.
* Travel as Required.
Position Purpose and Requirements:

A Senior Manufacturing Engineer position to advance application of existing technology and systems. Investigate technological horizon for new and developing manufacturing processes.



* BS in Engineering or at least 8 years Engineering experience
* At least 4 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience

* Travel 25%
