Senior Engineer - Powertrain Engineering

The Senior Engineer is responsible for directing and coordinating the engineering staff in the strategy, planning, and execution of program deliverables. The chosen candidate will serve as the primary technical contact forProgram Management, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Finance and must be well versed to speak to the technical aspects of the program. He/She will be responsible for supporting the technical coordination and optimization with other technical departments (design, calibration & control systems, testing) to achieve program targets (cost, timing, durability, fuel economy, performance, emissions, drivability, NVH). For current production applications, the Senior Engineer defines continuous improvement, technical evolution, and cost reduction actions in response to market trends and/or benchmarking activities.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Sciencein Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) accredited program
• Five to ten years'experience in a diverse number of powertrain design/release, or calibration roles
• Fundamental knowledge of internal combustion engines and associated technologies
• Self-starter who is able to work in a fast paced and multifaceted environment
• Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to interface with senior management

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Engineering
• Resident engineering (or equivalent) manufacturing experience
• Leadership/Supervisory experience
• Familiarity with engine calibration and controls
• Familiar with Unigraphics NX & Teamcenter
• Skilled in MS Office (including PowerPoint & Project)
• Domestic and international travel may be required
