Description
SUMMARY OF POSITION High-level non-supervisory engineering work involving broad design assignment in directing projects of considerable scope and complexity. Design, new, modified, or improved components and kits for service applications in accordance with engineering standards & project scope of work. Design requirements will cover components and assemblies on all new and existing product lines and will require working closely with product line engineers to adapt existing designs for service applications. QUALIFICATIONS (education, experience, certifications, skills) Education • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Required Skills & Experience • 3+ years experience in a major design phase
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Position general responsibilities are as follows: • Plans and directs engineering in a major project through all phases of innovation and development. • Assists in feasibility studies on proposed projects. • Select parts and/or design components for cost and quality-conscious design to meet service applications. • Consult with suppliers, customers, and members of Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Assembly, Service, Testing, Quality Control, and Marketing departments. • Directs preparation of layouts, drawings, specifications, and bills of material. • Establishes priorities for work delegated to others. ~MMTM~
