Pratt & Whitney Controls & Diagnostic Systems (CDS) is a dynamic engineering organization focused on the development and certification of military, commercial and industrial gas turbine engine control and diagnostic systems. CDS is responsible for all aspects of Pratt & Whitney engine control and diagnostic system development including: requirements analysis & definition, system & software architecture, algorithm design, and product software design, verification & validation. We integrate the control and diagnostic system design across other engine system modules and with the air vehicles and provide support throughout the complete engine product life cycle.
This product development activity requires strong integration and analysis skills in a variety of control system, diagnostic system and/or software disciplines, such as:
- Systems Engineering & Integration
- Classical Control Design
- Multivariable & Optimal Control Design
- Software Engineering
- Embedded Systems
- Verification & Validation including test bench, engine and flight test support
- System Modeling
- Dynamic Stability Analysis
- Statistical Data Analysis / Signal Processing
Job responsibilities include a wide range of exciting and challenging activities which involve application of fundamental engineering principles in the analysis of engine system operating requirements and the development of engine control and diagnostic systems. Candidates should have successfully demonstrated analytical skills to solve complex control, diagnostic and/or software system problems and the ability to work at the implementation level.
