Senior Embedded Aerospace Software Engineer

Engine & Control Systems (E&CS) provides complete jet engine controls and accessory packages. From the fuel tank to the ignitors, we have the resources and expertise to design, qualify, and manufacture first in class central systems for our aerospace engine customers.
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Software Design Engineer to design, develop and verify embedded software for Flight Critical Aerospace Systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop embedded software to DO-178B Level A software development standards or equivalent military standards
- Develop software requirements from customer inputs
- Develop embedded software in high level language such as C, C++ or Ada
- Perform low level and high level tests on the software and integrate the software with the end item hardware.
- Assist in scheduling, planning and tracking of software work products.
- Interface software with one or more of the avionics communication buses including AFDX, ARINC-429, CAN, MIL-STD-1553.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Educational requirements: Bachelors in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
Years of experience: Minumum of 5
Industry experience: Aerospace, Defense, Engineering
Optional skills: DOORS, Synergy, Labview, Teststand, Matlab, Simulink, Clearcase/Clearquest preferred

- Experience using DOORS, Synergy, Labview, Teststand, Matlab, Simulink, Clearcase/Clearquest will also be helpful
- Applicants should have an interest in the design challenges of embedded real-time aerospace software systems, knowledge of military and commercial airborne software design methodologies, software architecture and design and a working knowledge of electrical design principles.
