This position is accountable for the electrical and instrumentation engineering function on major global Saflex and VistaSolar projects in China, Malaysia, Brazil, Mexico, Belgium, and in the US, and reports to the Advanced Interlayers Engineering Manager.  This position is responsible for the design, construction, and start-up of projects and technically supporting operations and maintenance and providing engineering and project management support to other plant projects as required.    Required Skills
Responsibilities:
* Design, specify, install and troubleshoot industrial electrical, power distribution, and instrumentation control systems for projects.
* Provide high-quality design, scope, and cost/schedule estimates including P&IDs, and equipment drawings and specifications.
* Develop, support, and maintain Delta VDCSandPLCcontrol systems including the configuration database, controller and operations descriptions, coding, display layouts, simulations, and hardware.
* Perform the project management function for the execution of small and mid-size capital projects.
* Support and maintain control systems includingPLCand Delta VDCS.
* Provide electrical and instrumentation engineering and technical support to plant operations and maintenance.
* Directs E&I calibration procedures of critical equipment.
* Evaluates the adequacy of critical E&I equipment spare parts inventories.
* Trains and qualifies E&I Technicians
* Provide input to Maintenance Engineer in development of Predictive and Preventive Maintenance
* Conducts root cause failure analysis on major equipment failure.
* Recommends action plans to minimize equipment failure.
* Liaison with equipment suppliers pertaining to any E&I issues.
* Coordinates electrical and other related contracted work.
* Lead the commissioning activities during plant start up including preparing documents (engineering).Required Experience
Qualification:
* Degree in Electrical Engineering
* Minimum 5 years working experience in the industrial setting. Preferred: Chemical industries on projects or in maintenance.
* Lead electrical & instrumentation engineering design on projects of at least $1M USD projects, with preference on projects over $20M USD.
* Knowledgeable in designing power distribution, feeders, and Motor Control Centers for motors, variable speed drives, lighting, grounding, etc. and instrumentation and control systems including interlocks,PLC, andDCS(Delta V preferred).
* Designed system under Process Safety Management (PSM) for interlocks.
* Experience utilizing World-Class Project Management (WCPM) systems and disciplines.
* Project management and supervisory experience Promote Teamwork, works to remove barriers to collaboration
* Knowledgeable in using Preventive and Predictive Maintenance tools or system
* Good organization and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to solicit input and support of others at various sites and levels in the organization.
* Fluent in English.  A second language is preferred, but not required.
* Advances problems toward resolution when encountering ambiguity or uncertainty
* Results oriented, puts in extra effort and work to accomplish critical or difficult tasks
* Familiar with CMMS (Computerize Maintenance Management System) such asSAPand common applications software (spreadsheet) Eg.  M.S
