Senior Design Engineer
Our company is the global industry leader in the development and manufacturing of large industrial vehicles.
We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer who is interested in competing at the highest possible level. Our facilities are carefully located in many top Midwestern cities and we look forward to introducing you to them.
Requirements:
We are seeking the following experiences for our Senior Design Engineering role:
Experience with cooling and lubrication systems (hydraulics)
Knowledge of heat transfer design
Experience in leading and executing complex projects
Proven ability to mentor others
A strong candidate will have a good understanding of inverter and motor design.
In addition this candidate will have:
Advanced Degree in electric machine (motor/generator) design with experience in electric machine applications
In place of an advanced degree a minimum of 5-8 years of experience in design and development internal permanent magnet electric machine applications using either JMAG, SPEED or similar modeling tools
Experience using optimization routines and techniques for motor design
Experience motor control strategies and implementation
Experience in design and development of switched reluctance machines and induction machines
Experience with mechanical design including shaft, pilot and spline design
Experience with heat transfer design including creating thermal models using FEA or CFD
Experience with ProE or other mechanical design tool Knowledge of power electronics design
