Current projects include new and large residential and mixed use developments. The purpose of the role is to accurately illustrate the designs prepared by others, such that the drawings may be used by others for costing, tender or construction as applicable. Requirements include : . Senior technician confident in their abilities to produce information accurately and to deadlines. . Higher National Certificate in Civil Engineering or equivalent. . Experience of the UK construction industry, particularly RC and steel structures. . Conversant with all major building materials with a knowledge of RC detailing. . Must be a motivated and driven team player capable of producing good quality drawing work with minimal supervision and of acting under their own initiative. . Good communication skills, experience in dealing with other employees and clients. . Knowledge of collaboration websites including Buzzsaw etc . Revit Structure experience. . Able to prioritise, schedule and delegate workload. . Competent in use of associated software including Excel, Word, Auto Track. . Good general computer and IT skills Job Description: You will be working with a minimum Engineers brief to produce Structural and Civil Engineering drawings of a high standard suitable for construction. This position is fully supported although the candidate will be required to work on their own initiative and to liaise closely with both professional staff within the office and other professional consultants. Responsibilities include : . Liaise with the engineers to determine drawings and details to be prepared. . Interact with Client representatives, professional design team, contractors and others as necessary to effectively understand the requirements of the project. . Co-ordination of drawings with the design team. . Supervise junior CAD staff and allocate tasks. . Ensure that drawings are prepared and are suitable for the purpose. . Verification of final output; checking of drawings. . Understand the Quality Management System and apply it to all project work. . Understand roles and responsibilities in respect of quality system compliance. . Using Autodesk packages including Revit and AutoCAD
