One such opportunity exists at our Chantilly VA location. We seek aSenior Architecture Engineerto develop a library of DODAF architecture products covering Tactical Data Integration activities within NGA/NSG. Maintain/enhance the current architecture artifacts that exist, develop additional DODAF architecture artifacts, conduct analysis and reporting, lead working groups and validate the information represented in the architecture.
Both Systems Architect Tool from Telelogic and VISIO shall be utilized to develop and enhance the architecture artifacts to include summary reports. Focus of this effort will be integration and deployment of NEA Phase IV. This will include the GEMINI Limited Objective Events (LOE) series, Distributed Common Ground/Surface System (DCGS) integration, and other activities as directed by the customer. Position requires individual to reach across the IC and DCGS communities to help derive cross-domain solutions in relation to net-centric answers for interoperability.
Primary Job Responsibilities: * Experience with or knowledge of GEOINT Standards and metadata, including the DoD IT Standards Registry (DISR), the Motion Imagery Standards Profile (MISP) and the National Imagery Transmission Format (NITF) Standard. * Experience with MS Visio. * Experience with or knowledge of DCGS Acquisition Standards Handbook – Imagery Intelligence (IMINT) DASH-I,Sensor Standard Acquisition Guide (S2AG), International Standards (STANAGs). * Experience with end-to-end DCGS imagery architectures, Service DCGS architecture throughput, query and storage concepts. * Experience integrating tactical sensor GEOINT data into the NSG. * Systems engineering / or other direct experience working with NSG production, acquisition, and imageryexploitation elements. * Experience working with intelligence community agencies, Service staffs, and/or Joint Military Staffs. * CONOPS and requirements development experience. * Joint / Coalition exercise, including Empire Challenge, security engineering / information experience * Work independently to initiate, plan, executive and report on tasks as identified by the Government. * Have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to work in a team environment. * Have knowledge and experience with the Department of Defense (DoD) Experiments and Demonstrations Community, and preferably knowledge in the transition of research programs from an R&D environment into an NGA acquisition program, including NGA requirements, readiness and configuration management processes. * Understanding of the E&D community and technical issues from both the NGA perspective and that of the greater National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG) community. * Demonstrated system integration experience with a focus on E&D technology insertion and program/project planning and development. * Demonstrated experience in E&D requirement analysis, documentation and preparation, planning and coordination. * Knowledge of and experience in Intelligence, C4ISR, Coalition and DoD community activities. * Coalition experience in theater operations and or exercises. * Joint ISR Operation/Exercise Experience and/or Knowledge * Coalition interoperability in the DCGS Enterprise experience * Joint ISR Operation/Exercise Experience and/or Knowledge to include IMINT, SIGINT and MASINT experience * Travel: Local with occasional CONUS travel to Norfolk VA, Ft Huachuca AZ, San Deigo CA, China Lake CA, Tampa FL, Boston MA, Langley AFB VA. OCONUS travel to Ramstein AB GE, and London UK.
Essential Skills and Experience: * Bachelor’s degree with 14 years of experience, or 12 years with Master's to include 8+ years in System’s Engineering, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience. * Demonstrated expertise in the development of DoDAF compliant architecture views. * Experience with DoD Program Office acquisition documentation. * Experience with the JCIDS Process. * Ability to lead/support multiple tasks simultaneously and work well in a dynamic environment. * Experience with or knowledge ofDoD Airborne ISR sensors and architectures. * An excellent understanding of DoD Commands, Services, or other Gov agencies and their ISR mission and processes, with an emphasis on GEOINT requirements, sensors, standards or data. * Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. * Proficient in Microsoft Office, System Architect and other architecture development tools and Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS). * Candidate must possess at TS/SCI security clearance. * Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
