Title: SAS Computer Programmer Location: Georgia-Atlanta
Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a SAS Developer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in defining the future. The candidate should be able to provide SAS development services to support the BioSense system at the CDC.
The candidate should have experience writing macros on UNIX and Windows. They should also have a good understanding of Windows and UNIX files systems as well as moving files back and forth between systems (operating system tools to move data). They would ideally have experience with SAS spde data sets as well as an understanding of mount points and SAS functions to spread data across multiple disks. Also useful would be skills with converting SAS data to different versions of SAS on different operating systems. The candidate should also be familiar with metadata server and creating metadata server processes.
Basic Qualifications:
* Advanced SAS development and installation skills. Proficiency with the SQL language, Transact SQL, SQL Server, and related tools. * Experience writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers. Prior experience working with and analyzing large databases (healthcare data preferred). * Ability to work on multiple tasks at once. Knowledge of DTS, Data Extraction, and Transformations. ยท Proven attention to detail and ability to be responsive, efficient, and accurate. Proficiency in developing and maintaining productive working relationships with multidisciplinary staff. * Experience writing Macros on Unix/Windows * Understanding of unix and windows file systems. Familiar with operating system tools to move data * Experience using large SAS spde data sets * Understanding of storage mount points and SAS functions to spread data across multiple disks for performance * Experience converting SAS data to different versions and operating systems * Familiar with metadata server and creating metadata server processes
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in research data systems development. * Knowledge of study design, research methodology and statistical analysis. * Demonstrated ability to learn new technical tools and software applications, and work with variety of data and data sources. * Java development
