Sales Manager Responsibilities Responsibilities The position is responsible for growing and sustaining market share, participating in product training and reservation presentations, resolving problems and increasing revenue. Primary markets of focus will be Local Wholesale, Asia and Airline. Must be able to travel out of state/country in order to attend product launches, training workshops, and travel trade shows. Responsible for negotiating new sales, request for proposals (RFP's), and agreements with domestic and international tour organizations and consortia; maintaining and developing business relationships; representing the company at travel industry tradeshows; and developing sales materials. 1. Develop and implement new joint marketing packages, incentives for business referrals and other sales products and programs for travelers. 2. Contact clients and potential clients to develop business relationships, provide information on new sales promotions and resolve problems. 3. Solicit potential clients for sales and marketing agreements including, tour companies, hotels, airlines and other potential wholesale accounts. 4. Develop, negotiate and finalize contracts for selected accounts. 5. Develop and participate in information/motivational reservation presentations for clients and Dollar employees. 6. Attend and participate in trade shows, product launches, and out-of-state meetings. 7. Perform related responsibilities as required or assigned. Qualifications Qualifications KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY: * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with personnel at all organization levels and diverse individuals outside of the company. * Ability to effectively develop and supervise subordinate personnel. * Ability to manage multiple projects with conflicting deadlines. * Knowledge of the Hawaii travel industry. * Strong knowledge of sales and marketing methods and techniques. * Strong negotiation skills. * Creative ability to develop effective sales programs. * Skill and proficiency in using personal computer software programs including spreadsheet, graphics and word processing applications. * Excellent oral written communication skills.
