Fire Safety includes: facility planning review, review and comment on mechanical/electrical system drawings, data collection/analysis, equipment selection, oversight of regulatory testing/inspections, interface with Facilities and Security personnel to coordinate provision of services as related to fire system inspections, maintenance, operations, changes or fixes. Conduct fire safety drills, training, and periodic system tests. Responsible for command media and guidance to employees, visitors, and site contracts in support of fire prevention planning, as well as fire evacuation program. Generate routine status reports to identify areas of improvement. Act as interface with Insurance Risk personnel in annual reviews, construction planning reviews, and system enhancement recommendations. Contractor Safety includes: management and oversight on construction activities in keeping with the requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's Voluntary Protection Program, including the collection of incident and injury data from all applicable contractors. Perform construction project reviews/inspections as part of an overall construction safety program as well as on an ad hoc/need basis to ensure safety of personnel and property. Organize and oversee performance of construction safety training program. Develop performance measurements to enhance project understanding and management of outcomes. Ensure that purchasing agreements, terms and conditions, and other documentation are in place to ensure appropriate allocation of responsibilities between parties. Vehicle Safety includes: Provision of training to all vehicle operators (powered industrial vehicles, golf carts, pallet jacks, other similar equipment), investigations of vehicle related incidents, assurance of compliance requirements related to operations and maintenance activities for all equipment, and periodic evaluation of equipment for appropriateness/usability. Organization of existing program data, change control and review process for existing vehicles, and process review and analysis for new/proposed vehicles, tasks, systems, and methods, for the purpose of more clearly identifying and mitigating hazards associated with vehicle operation, including construction vehicles. STS Safety Council includes: provision of training to team members, management of records, and management of supplies, equipment, and resources; Conduct meetings bi-weekly, provide reports on program status on routine basis. Solicit and track enterprisewide membership. Coordinate Porcelain Press article development and distribution. Maintain meeting minutes, action item lists, and lead the group in special event planning, including the development of budget requests for materials and other resources. Standard Job Description Develops and implements safety program to prevent or correct unsafe environmental working conditions, using knowledge of industrial processes, mechanics, chemistry, psychology, and industrial health and safety laws. Examines plans and specifications for new machinery or equipment, facilities, to determine if all safety precautions have been included.
