RF Technician For almost two decades, David H. Pollock Consultants, Inc. (DHPC) has been devoted to supporting DoD and Fortune 500 firms with C4ISR technology assessment, modeling & simulation, lab support, and systems engineering. With a new corporate headquarters in Woodbridge, NJ and offices in Aberdeen, MD and Huntsville, AL DHPC has seen substantial growth within the last five years. The environment is dynamic, the staff is invigorating, and the work is challenging. DHPC currently has an opening for a RF Technician located in the Aberdeen, MD area. The position will require the candidate to travel weekly to Eatontown, NJ for a period of up to 4 months (paid per diem). After that, the position will be permanently located in Aberdeen, MD. Job Description In this position, you will be working in a RF laboratory supporting critical DoD technologies and systems. You will be responsible for conducting tests, collecting data, and troubleshooting different test setups. You will be required to conduct Benchtop testing as well as “Over The Air testing inside an anechoic chamber located within the lab. Requirements The ideal candidate will: Have 5 or more years experience as a RF lab technician. Have experience using RF test equipment (oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, spectrum analyzer, signal generators, logic analyzer etc.). Have the ability to carry out testing alone and as part of a team. Have hands-on experience troubleshooting problems that occur with electronic RF systems at the component level. Experience with radio systems is a plus. Have experience soldering components as well as building prototype boards. Be able to work independently, think logically and creatively, and contribute to the big picture. Be able to Load new Software/Firmware to System and verify performance upgrade. Experience in Antenna Measurements (both Azimuth and Elevation) is a plus. Education A technical school degree is required. Relevant work experience may be substituted for formal education. Candidate must be eligible for a Top Secret DoD Security Clearance - which must be applied for and granted as a condition of continued employment.
