Job Description:
Land/Mobile, two-way radio Technician must be a fully qualified Maintenance/Install Technician. Ideal candidate meets the following equipment/systems requirements: EDACS and knowledge of Integrated Multisite Controllers, Communication System Director, P25, OpenSky, Microwave, Simulcast, Pro-voice, Paging and Conventional Radio Systems. The individual shall be capable of programming, installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of EDACS Systems and associated Sites, IMC's, Consoles, Mobiles/Control Stations and Portables.
Qualifications:
* Meets the requirements of an EDACS Pro-voice and Simulcast System Technician which includes experience with EDACS IMC, Microwave and Paging, Conventional Radio Systems, OpenSky System, and computer skills.
* Experience with programming, installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of EDACS System/Site, OpenSky System, P25 System, Consoles, Mobiles/Control Stations and Portables.
* Experience with UHF/VHF radio equipment, EDACS, Conventional radio networks, Paging, Mobile Data, P25, OpenSky, and Computers.
* Associated Degree Electronics or equivalent.
* Candidate needs to live in Madison County, subject to 24/7 on call, valid driver's license.
Preferred Additional Skills:
* Preferred FCC license.
* Able to work independently
