Prescient Wireless Inc. (PWI),a design and manufacturing firm that specializes in the supply of Radio Frequency (RF) products and services to the wireless communications, medical and aerospace industries, is currently seeking highly motivated RF Design Engineers to join its staff at its location in the western suburbs of Chicago, Illinois.
RF Design Engineer
As the RF Design Engineer, you will initially be responsible for the design and development of RF circuits and circuit boards. This could include small-signal and large-signal amplifiers, mixers, synthesizers, voltage-controlled oscillators, and other similar circuits. You will work closely with senior RF Design Engineers to define requirements, evaluate and select appropriate components, breadboard circuits for testing and support PCB layout activities. Additional responsibilities will include functional testing of circuits, sub-systems and systems, debugging and troubleshooting, and thoroughly documenting all work. Requirements
Qualifications: · BSEE, preferably with an emphasis in RF or wireless communications systems (MSEE is a plus) · 2+ years experience with RF circuit design and characterization · Familiarity with RF test equipment and test procedures · Ability to manage multiple tasks with complex project requirements and aggressive schedules · Excellent verbal and written communications skills are essential · Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment with teams located throughout the world
