Major Job Duties Include:
This position is for a resident engineer supporting GM Ultrasonic Park Assist. This job requires presence at GM VEC (Warren, MI) 4 days out of the week, the rest of the time being spent at the Robert Bosch LLC facility in Plymouth; MI. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Coordinate open issues meetings (PDT) and follow up on items.
* Coordinate FMEA, DVP&R and schematic review meetings.
* Attend all relevant meetings at GM (EMC, diagnostics, bumper fascias).
* Support packaging activities of the electrical module and ultrasonic sensors.
* Provide and maintain device transmittal.
* Lead bench/vehicle validation efforts.
* Track and facilitate release of Bosch components in GM system.
* Provide on-site support at GM assembly plants.
* Provide support to tier 1 (fascia suppliers) during production launch.
* Work with paint supplier and GM Design Studio in releasing sensor colors.

Minimum:
* Bachelor degree in a technical field.
* 5+ years of experience in the automotive industry
* Previous GM or GM Resident Engineering experience
* Strong customer relationship skills, good communication skills.
* Knowledge of GM processes and tools (i.e. E-Squared and Cal-DS)
* Knowledge of vehicle networking and diagnostics (i.e. GM-LAN)
* Capable of reading and comprehending electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings
* Hands-on (mechanical or electrical) type of experience
* Knowledge of CAD design tools (AutoCAD, pro- E, Solid Works, UG, Catia).

Desired:
* Program Management experience
* Some software programming (embedded or object- oriented) exposure.
* Knowledge of Neo VI (from Intrepid), or CANalyzer (Vector tool).
