Company /position overview:


Japanese Manufacturer supplying products to the automotive industry has an opening for a Quality Manager and / or Quality Engineer.


Candidates  must have automotive manufacturing experience. Must understand the quality and delivery expectation of the automotive industry.


 


Salary Range: $55k to $65k (depending on experience)


 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Quality Manager / Engineer:


 Manages the quality activities by providing work direction to quality technicians, quality auditors, and document control specialist. Establishes, monitors, and maintains quality control systems. In charge of coordinating activities associated with internal quality audits, achieving customers requirements and process improvement  Interacts regularly with engineering, manufacturing, and customers to establish quality standards.




Requirements:

Skill / Background Requirements:



  • Must have four year degree, preferably technical field.

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in a Quality Engineering role in a automotive manufacture

  • Automotive experience required

  • CMM programming and operation required

  • Working knowledge of PFMEA, APQP, PPAP, and TS16949 required

  • Hands on, shop floor involved management style

  • ASQ certification preferred.

  • Other qualifications that would be preferred include: Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing

  • Plastics background preferred

  • Should be a logical thinker and be a strong technical problem solver. Must possess demonstrated leadership and analytical abilities to facilitate problem resolution in a team environment
