External Job Description : Join the Life Fitness team in Ramsey, MN on the 1st shift as aQuality Inspectorperforming the following duties:




* Perform incoming parts and first piece article inspection on mechanical parts.

* Perform detailed inspections and tests to ensure that product will meet its intended function using proper tools and equipment.

* Report all discrepancies to supervisor for corrective action. Initiate discrepancy reports on rejected material using Oracle.

* Perform in-process audits.

* Perform visual inspections as appropriate.

* Communicate with other departments as necessary.

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

* Perform QA Tech I duties as needed

* Perform front desk duties as needed.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements: REQUIREMENTS:


* Minimum three years of experience in mechanical inspection or equivalent combination of experience and related technical school degree.

* Proficient in the use of basic measuring tools (calipers, gauge blocks, micrometer, light booth, etc.).

* Proficient computer skills including email.

* Able to work independently in a fast-paced team environment.

* Basic math skills (add, subtract and multiply).

* Able to effectively communicate in English (speak, read, write and understand).

* Able to read and understand work instructions, schematics, blueprints.

* Detail oriented.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


* Lift up to 30 lbs occasionally and up to 50 lbs rarely.

* Walk, stand, bend, squat, kneel, twist/turn, reach overhead, and grasp tools as necessary.
