To provide inspections of manufactured product to verify they meet customer requirements and quality standards. To promote an environment for continuous improvement when working directly with manufacturing personnel. To help evaluate the results of inspections performed by machine operators. I. Position Requirements
1. Ability to read and understand part drawings and blueprints.
2. Adequate knowledge and experience in using measurement tools for part inspections.
3. Ability to follow inspection procedures, documentation and work instructions.
4. Solid and sound interpersonal skills in dealing with co-workers.
6. Basic knowledge of shop-level mathematics.
7. Good organizational skills and the ability to work towards defined company goals.
8. Ability to understand and then work within the ISO 9001-based MPG, Inc. quality system.
9. Basic understanding of traceability related to inspection documentation and paperwork.
10. Entry-level abilities for using a Windows-based computer workstation. II. Position Duties
1. Direct inspection of in-process products and final inspections after all processes are complete.
2. Identify, report and segregate non-conforming materials, parts and part assemblies.
3. Collect and record data relative to product inspections and tests.
4. Perform product and operator audits.
5. Help maintain, organize and back-up product Lot Files as instructed.
6. Learn and build on inspection and quality duties skill set.
9. Assist with the control of production-level documents such as drawings, customer supplied documents and external standards and specifications (i.e. documents of external origin).
10. Aid with the recognition and enacting of continuous improvement projects. III. General Duties
1. Support company priorities as assigned by the MPG, Inc. Managers and Directors.
2. Support all other company employees as necessary.
3. Responsible for understanding and following all the required procedures and work instructions
as instructed and as required by ISO 9001 per the MPG, Inc. Quality Manual.
4. Abide by and support the word and intent of the company Safety Policy.
5. Perform all duties in a responsible and efficient manner.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.
