External Job Title Quality Inspector AutoReqId 44897BR Business Function Quality Division Fuel Systems Division Job Description Perform dimensional or mechanical inspection on a diversified line of Aerospace components. Inspect sub-assemblies, and assemblies in the receiving, assembly, test, machining and shipping areas along with performing the more complex machined part and casting first article inspection to verify conformance to blueprints and engineering specifications.
Essential Functions may include:
*Perform final dimensional or mechanical inspection of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies, for conformance to blueprints and engineering specifications.
*Use a variety of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, vernier calipers, comparators, and gauging equipment.
*Assist with devising dimensional gauging set-ups, perform part layout inspection and assist in establishing part inspection procedures.
*Advising manufacturing personnel of possible non-conformities.
*May be required to process audit of test and assembly processes and interface with various customer and government representatives.
*Process and complete required quality documentation.
*Perform the more complex first article inspection on components, sub-assemblies and assemblies to AS 9102 requirements.
*Surface plate layout inspection.
*Accept or reject products and/or components.
*May assist in inspection of inspectors of lower classification.
*Confer with or refer major or critical inspection problems or decisions to lead person or supervisor for disposition. Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) Basic Qualifications:
*High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required
*1 Year experience in an Aerospace environment
*Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
*No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate Orange County area (50 Miles) will be considered for this position.
Position Criteria:
*Be familiar with and able to read and interpret drawings and engineering specifications.
*Good verbal and writing communications skills in English.
*Good interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective intra and inter-departmental relationship at all levels.
