Business Name: Bell Helicopter Textron Function/Program: Quality Work Performed: Inspects by visual examination or by precision measurement with instruments, jigs, fixtures, templates, patterns, designs, etc., assemblies, sub-assemblies, sections of assemblies or installations for proper materials, finishes, precision mating or fitting, sizes, dimensions, layouts, locations, and quality of workmanship. Operates special kinds of testing instruments and equipment as required. Works from complicated or detailed blueprints, diagrams, engineering orders, etc., to obtain proper specifications. May be assigned to various assembly inspection groups or to other phases of inspection of equal or lower level. Approves acceptable work or rejects all work which fails to meet required standards and recommends corrective action to prevent recurrence. Rechecks when corrective measures have been completed. In all cases inspectors must have had additional training and experience required to handle the more difficult and complicated phases of inspection work. Desirable Qualifications: Two years assembly inspection experience plus one year aircraft assembly experience.
Tools & Equipment Used: Inspectors' hand and marking tools and electricians' or mechanics' hand tools.
