Posted Position Title Quality Engineer Career Level Experienced Function Quality Function Segment Lean Six Sigma Location United States U.S. State, China or Canada Provinces Ohio City Twinsburg Postal Code 44087-2309 Relocation Assistance No Role Summary/Purpose The Quality Engineer provides direction and assistance to work group in order to meet assigned objectives. In this role you will work within defined parameters to make decisions and apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity. This role has the ability to resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning. Essential Responsibilities * Support the procurement and manufacture of instrumentation and control equipment, mechanical components, and parts to nuclear power plant customers
* Assume quality assurance leadership role in all aspects of quality engineering, planning and assurance of quality delivery of hardware and associated documentation for the assigned products / processes
* Ensure product and process compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards and best practices
* Coordinate with cross-functional resources to resolve customer quality issues and supplier quality issues
* Apply technical and quality knowledge and practical experience to the analysis, investigation, and solution of quality problems to assure that prompt and effective corrective action is taken
* Write and review technical quality documents, plans and procedures
* Provide training and mentoring for individuals performing quality related activities
* Represent GE Energy, Reuter-Stokes in the support of customer and regulatory audits and visits
* Review Request For Quotes and Purchase Orders (customer and supplier) for compliance to, and implementation of, quality requirements
* Occasionally travel to supplier sites for audit performance activities Qualifications/Requirements * Bachelor of Science Degree in a Technical discipline (or a minimum of 4 years of Technical experience)
* ASNT Level III certification, or Level II certified with potential for Level III cert per SNT-TC-1A for Radiographic (RT), Liquid Penetrant (PT) and Visual (VT) Testing Eligibility Requirements:
* Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certified (GE Employees Only)
* Ability and willingness to travel as required Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Desired Characteristics * Nuclear industry experience, or other regulated industry experience
* Experience with quality system requirements associated with ASME Code, 10CFR50 Appendix B and ISO-9001
