Quality Engineer -- Headlamps and Lighting Systems

In 2008, the Quality Organization within Chrysler became its own stand-alone function. Since then, the group has more than tripled in size. The Quality Engineer -- Headlamps and Lighting Systems will be a part of the Customer Satisfaction Team within the Quality Organization and is responsible for resolving all short-term warranty issues, customer satisfaction and ordinary quality issues related to the headlamps and taillight systems of all Chrysler vehicles. The ideal candidate will demonstrates initiative, the desire to drive change and is motivated to exceed expectations. We are seeking an objective, open-minded and ""out-of-the-box"" thinker who can quickly bring a resolution for all customer issues relating to the headlamps and lighting systems of the vehicle. This person must be a demonstrated effective leader with strong program management skills. The ability to effectively communicate and to exercise influence in the absence of authority --both up and down within the organization is essential. In addition, the selected candidate should possess competent computer skills (MS Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - experience with Minitab applications is a plus. Some travel required.
Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (Electrical)
• Minimum 5 years engineering experience with headlamps or lighting systems
Preferred Qualifications: • Certified Reactive Blackbelt
• Demonstrated effective leadership and program management skills
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and the ability to exercise influence without authority
• Demonstrates initiative, the desire to drive change and is motivated to exceed expectations
• Possesses competent computer skills ( MS Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint) -- experience with Minitab applications is a plus
• Communicates effectively at all levels
• Regarded as objective, open-minded and an ""out-of-the-box"" thinker
• Some travel required
