This position will support PWPS through effective quality engineering process leadership and deployment. The successful Quality Engineer will demonstrate effective leadership, teamwork and ACE tool utilization in a dynamic manufacturing and business process environment. Primary focus will be supporting turbine development processes both in-house and at suppliers. This is a challenging and exciting opportunity for candidates wishing to deploy their core skills in a growing industry.
- Quality Planning for in house and external manufacturing processes
- Support product development through quality leadership (DFM, DFQ, etc.)
- Monitor and communicate supplier quality performance
- Supplier and internal process development through application of ACE tools
- Lead DIVE teams for RRCA to correct design and manufacturing deficiencies
- Provide leadership in the promotion of a Quality Culture at PWPS
- Perform supplier audits, determine supplier qualifications, assess supplier performance
- Develop and execute plans to reduce supplier escapes
- Collect and assist in reducing Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)
- Champion UPPAP, Process Certification, VSM, and 3P Events
- Conduct internal Quality audits for ISO Certification
- 20-30% Travel(mostly within North America)
