Job Description POSITION SUMMARY:
The Quality Systems Internal Auditor will be responsible for performance monitoring over the Community Services Directorate Medical section, as well as, all program support functions. Internal Auditors perform audits and inspections of all Program procedures and work instructions to ensure continuous improvement of ITT processes. Responsibilities also include gathering and analyzing data and recommending courses of action to improve performance or resolve problems, and mentoring employees, supervisors and management staff in quality management principles, theories, tools, and systems. Ensures all ITT quality systems comply with ISO 9001-2000 standards. This position will report to the Quality Systems Manager or designee.

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
forms root cause research and analysis of process failures and product nonconformities.
itors program functions and support operations for compliance with the ISO 9001:2000 Certified Quality Management System.
3. Participate and facilitate, as required, in Quality partnering meetings with Internal and External Customers.
ists process owners in the development and deployment of processes for the purpose of encouraging process improvement initiatives.
ists operational areas in documenting processes, work instructions, and in identifying and managing required records.
pares audit checklists specific to process being audited; develops detailed audit plan that extends to process suppliers and customers.
itors functional area internal inspection programs.
ducts audits and investigations in functional or operational areas as assigned
pares audit/inspection reports; assists in root cause analysis and development of corrective/preventive action plans; performs follow up audits to determine completeness and effectiveness of corrective/preventive actions.
ducts activity, technical, and special inspections.
hers data, conducts statistical and trend analysis; identifies process controls and performance metrics to assist in measuring process performance and continuous improvement.
elops programs and procedures as requested by the Quality Manager to enhance operations.
vides management reports relating to the quality program.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Work is generally conducted in a warehouse environment. However, duties may occasionally involve working outside with a potential exposure to extreme temperatures. Work may require heavy lifting up, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices. Required to access and may be exposed to ITAR controlled technical data.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/ Certifications:
Applicant must at least have an Associate's Degree

Experience:
Successful candidate should have some previous exposure to quality principles and concepts. A minimum of three (3) years experience in a leadership capacity responsible for performance or product quality. Candidate should also have at least three (3) years related experience in Community Services to include the Medical Section, Bio Medical, TMC, and Retrograde programs. Preferred Experience: Certification as an ISO 9001:2000 Internal Auditor and Six Sigma Green Belt certification, or higher, are both desirable. A minimum three (3) years general experience in management, professional, investigative, or technical work that demonstrates judgment and analytical ability is preferred.
