OBJECTIVE: Works on behalf of the FAA Organizational Designated Airworthiness Representative (ODAR) program as an Authorized Representative (AR) inspector in the shipment of Honeywell product. Acting as an AR, this individual will visually and dimensionally inspect aerospace product and documentation to ensure conformity to Type Design and for safe operation, issue FAA airworthiness certification and generate all paperwork to ensure compliance with any and all FAA export requirements. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Visually and dimensionally inspects aerospace product and documentation to ensure conformity to Type Design and for safe operation, issue FAA airworthiness certification. * Creates Export Certificate of Airworthiness in compliance with any and all FAA export requirements. * Attends annual and recurrent FAA training to maintain ODAR certification. * Maintains a current knowledge of FAA regulations and requirements as well as Honeywell Quality systems. * Recognizes problems areas and take remedial action when required. * Insures compliance to regulatory requirements. * Performs other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Job Requirements : * A Bachelor Degree in related field preferred and 3 years experience with aerospace products required – manufacturing processes/inspections * Must be able work effectively with the FAA and the ODAR Site Lead * Airworthiness Representative Certified (The selected person must acquire FAA approval as Honeywell Airworthiness representative within 3 months of hire date) * Ability to read and understand Type design data (i.e. Blue Prints, specifications, etc. and FAA related regulations). * Basic understanding in the use of inspection measuring equipment required.
