Quaility Show Vehicle - Global Operations
There's a new car company on the horizon and it's going to make a resounding wave throughout the automotive world: We are the New Chrysler Group LLC, and we have our sights set on producing the most fuel efficient, reliable, stylish and safe vehicles across all brands by reinventing products and creating new ideas. Come see how we're going to change the automotive landscape over the next two years with new and exciting vehicles every driver -- around the globe -- deserves.
In 2008, the Quality Organization within Chrysler became its own stand-alone function. Since then, the group has more than tripled in size. This growth is a testament to the commitment of Chryslers' senior management to produce a top-rated quality product. In setting high standards in the six types of quality: reliability, dissatisfaction, regulatory, perceived, performance, and service, Chrysler's product line and customer experience has improved dramatically. The teams within the Quality Organization are empowered to improve customer satisfaction for their system or area. As a result, Chrysler now has the best quality in the 73-year history of the company.
The Media Vehicle Quality Expert is responsible for ensuring all vehicles used in Chrysler media events, domestic and international, meet and consistently reflect Chrysler's strict quality standards. This is a highly visible role as the ideal candidate will be the central point person in terms of all quality pieces relating to the vehicle dynamics experience and will interact with leadership across all functions within the Chrysler organization. The role requires an experienced automotive professional to present a quality standard vehicle to the marketplace during media events. However, consideration will be given to less experienced automotive persons if they possess the vehicle dynamics experience necessary.
As this role sits in a newly formed group within Chrysler, this position provides the ability to truly build something from the ground up. It is imperative that the chosen candidate be comfortable with managing in an environment where little processes or procedures have been established. Additional responsibilities include performing dynamic and static vehicle evaluations. Coordinate vehicles at all vehicle specific mediaevents. Manage preparation timeline of vehicle to ensure arrival deadlines are meet including the coordination of all cross-functional vehicle experts involved. Provide on-site support during event. Extensive travel isnrequired -- both domestic and international (60% +)
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree of a technical field of study • Minimum of 8 years of automotive engineering experience or 4 years if coupled with whole vehicle/dynamics experience • Extensive domestic and international travel required
