SUPERVISES: Work Management, Roads and Grounds Maintenance, Recycle Center and Facilities Maintenance through subordinate supervisory personnel.
SUMMARY:Directs and coordinates, through subordinate supervisory personnel, activities of workers engaged in repair and maintenance of buildings, grounds, utility systems, recycle center operator, and infrastructure of Fort Meade military installation.
DUTIES: Essential Functions 1. Perform duties and responsibilities that are common to most supervisory personnel per the attachmentGENERAL SUPERVISORY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. 2. Provide managerial, technical and administrative direction for assigned areas of responsibility. 3. Ensure that buildings and structures, including installed equipment and systems, are available and fully functional / operational to the user when needed for mission operations. 4. Achieve optimum level of maintenance / repair of buildings, structures, and utilities through employment of company personnel and sub-contracted personnel. 5. Ensure emergency, urgent, and routine service work is completed within the established time frames. 6. Develop annual work plan for Public Works. 7. Ensure that all facilities projects follow the definitions of work categories, cost limits, approval authority and all other aspects of the FAR, DOD, Army Regulations, and direction identified in PWS. 8. Direct maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air required for operations. 9. Coordinate activities with appropriate US Government counterparts, COR, KO and contractor entities. 10. Develop preventive maintenance program in conjunction with engineering and maintenance staff. 11. Review production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities. 12. Plan, develop, and implement new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials. 13. Review new product plans and discusses equipment needs and modifications with design engineers. 14. Confer with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:Bachelor degree with major in an Engineering discipline.
Experience: Eight years of experience in public works or engineering filed including five years at a managerial level.
Skills:Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication. Knowledge of IFS and Maximo. Knowledge of GFEBS is desired.
Certificate, License, Registration, etc.: Valid state driver's ensed First Class Stationary Engineer.
