Job PurposeThis position will provide and manage the equipment design, upgrades and replacements for production equipment at HPF-W. This includes the mechanical design, CAD drawings, vendor management, and project management associated with capital-level improvement projects, continuous improvement projects, as well as capacity and/or capability upgrades associated with this site or others across the HPF division. Essential Functions: Provide equipment design and CAD support for continuous improvement and machine modification project teams. Interact with machine builders to communicate new designs and follow through to install and qualification. Lead project teams for capital-level equipment projects including projects aimed at capacity and/or capability expansions, maintaining projects on time, on budget, and delivering desired capability. Provide equipment design support for new process and new product development initiatives, incorporating the latest technologies available in the industry to increase capability to meet new demand. Provide troubleshooting assistance to the process engineering and manufacturing groups for both equipment and process related issues as necessary. Develop and track both the annual and strategic capital plan and track monthly capital spending for the current year. Mentor and train engineering and manufacturing staff on production equipment. Maintain collaborative relationship with the ESG. Requirements: BS in Mechanical Engineering plus at least 3 years of manufacturing experience. Experience with Project Management and AutoCAD. Due to ITAR regulations must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
