Project Engineer
Hamilton Sundstrand is among the largest global suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and industrial products. We design and manufacture aerospace systems for commercial, regional, corporate and military aircraft and are a major supplier for international space programs. Our industrial products serve industries ranging from hydrocarbon, chemical and food processing to construction and mining.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a project plan while leading the program engineering team to execute the plan of the life of the project
- Oversee development aspects of hardware, software and systems
- Create and monitor key metrics (budget, schedule, quality, etc) and implement corrective actions
- Maintain high level of customer focus and communication and address customer issues
- Maintain customer documentation (coordination memos, requirements documents, etc)
- Identify risks and mitigation plans
- Effectively communicate (written and oral) program status to management and customer
- Participate in V&V activity (procedures, testing, reports)
- Perform product support engineering tasks
Travel 10%
Bachelor' degree in mechanical engineering
10+ years experience preferred in design and/or project management
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ARP 4754, RTCA DO-160, DO-178, DO-254
