A very large and well established plastic packaging, including rigid containers, company is searching for a Project Engineer to lead projects to develop products, and the manufacturing methods and equipment for customers. Currently no relocation is offered because the company wants someone who is already living close enough to commute to one of their East Coast area plants, but they might consider a relocation package for the right Project Engineer if required. The Project Engineer will manage multiple projects at multiple sites following the program management life cycle methodology. Responsibilities heavily emphasize project definition in the conceptual phase of the program through successful implementation in the plant. Thorough management guidance and follow through will be the primary responsibility for the program manager along various phases of the project life cycle.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities: ectively manage activities with an emphasis on productivity, timing, and budget allowances of the new program. port productivity and cost reduction projects. form feasibility studies and special operations and manufacturing projects as directed by the Group Manager, Program Management. ticipate in customer visits and partnered with the commercial account managers, provide assistance with the Ring The Bell “RTB" meetings to perform feasibility analyses on potential new business opportunities. k with the Regional Directors, Plant Managers, and Plant staff, along with corporate Engineering, Sales, and Finance staff to develop feasibility studies and mutually agreeable implementation plans which meet cost and timing criteria. erstand plant infrastructure and equipment, and requirements for changes and upgrades. lyse the business, performance, and cost capabilities and limitations of new, proposed, or existing equipment. Includes evaluation of machinery, equipment, tooling, work flow, and vendors. municate and resolve technical, timing, and budgetary issues related to projects as they arise. lish regular status reports outlining project status and issues. elop and manage task lists and timelines for completion of projects. estic travel required.

Requirements:

•Strong interpersonal skills required to communicate technical and financial information and to complete project assignments.

•Strong management, communication, and people skills to influence and manage multiple resources, most of which do not report to the program manager.

•Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

•Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

•Experience with SPC.

•Minimum ten years of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and manufacturing experience, including seven years project management experience. Knowledge of plant layouts and infrastructure equipment is also needed. Proven experience managing multiple resources and complex projects.
