Supply Chain Business Unit: Supply Chain includes facilities and processes that operate to manufacture a finished product from raw material and deliver to the end-user. This business unit enhances competitive advantage, efficiency, innovation, quality and consistency.
Position Purpose: Position is instrumental in ensuring delivery of engineering / technical services to the Dairy Foods manufacturing facilities.

You would be responsible for conducting engineering assessments, cost estimates, design requirements and execution of capital projects in excess of $1MM.

Will work closely with plant management / corporate functions on development of project scope, process design, capital and expense estimates, contractor / vendor selection, equipment specifications and purchases, implementation timeline and coordination of execution plans.
Required (Basic) Experience & Education: Minimum of 5 years engineering / project management experience in manufacturing - preferably food industry; solid understanding of manufacturing processes, utilities, systems engineering.

4-year degree as a mechanical, chemical, electrical engineer and/or dairy science major with engineering experience.
Required Competencies & Other Skills: Prepare process designs, equipment specifications and capital estimates for process upgrades, modifications to existing systems and installation / commissioning of new assets.

Provide methods, equipment recommendations and standard operating practices to optimize processes and meet product specifications. Facilitate training as necessary.

Conduct plant assessments to identify asset deficiencies; execute corrective action as required.

Work with plant management / corporate functions on strategic planning involving business growth / innovation, quality improvement, safety, energy and environmental.

Remains current on existing and emerging technical advances of equipment, facilities and process controls.
