The Program Product Supervisor shall ensure compliant performance of Orbital's suppliers and supervise the accomplishment of required tasks as described in the subcontract documents including the Statement of Work, the requirements specification and all other applicable documentation. Job Description:
Define supplier performance metrics and document these metrics in the appropriate procedures and process documentation. Deveop a comprehensive "Product Build Cycle Schedule" for each supplier assigned. Perform supervision of supplier activities as necessary for the suppliers to meet technical, cost and delivery schedules as defined in the subcontract documentation. Includes on-site supervision at supplier's facilities. Assist the supplier with expedite and planning activities as necessary to meet the requirements as defined above. Monitor and report on supplier's progress against technical, cost and schedule metrics. Coordinate Supplier Improvement Intiatives and ensure appropriate follow-ups are conducted. Support program anomaly investigations and ensure appropriate attention is given (by all parties) to drive to closure. Develop lessons-learned and future actions and strategy in order to continuously improve supplier performance. Interact with internal and external employees at equivalent levels. Qualifications:
ABachelors Degree (BS) in Engineering or equivalent experience is required. Seven years of related experience is required.
Knowledge of Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, Sharepoint and PowerPoint are required. Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Must be flexible with last minute travel requirements.
Must pose excellent people skills and ability to agressively negotiate work around plans to acheive program end item requirements (Technical, Delivery, Cost, Quality).
Moderately complex work requiring original thinking – Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
2-3 years experience in Program or Supplier Management is desired. One year of supervisory experience is preferred. Apply for this job:
