POSITION SUMMARY:
Individual is responsible for the overall management of a specific Base, Logistics & Security program(s) insuring that the technical solutions and schedules for the program are implemented in a timely manner. A minimum of managing the security aspect of a BOS contract is required.
Responsible for day-to-day operational management of large DOD contracts to include contract compliance and Statement of Work accomplishment. Develops implements and evaluates program policies, procedures and standards; develops and monitors program budgets; ensures contract execution IAW the SOW and provides guidance to subordinate staff and management. Develops and directs the implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and work standards where applicable for the program. Provides direct interface with customer and senior level customer management. Must possess high-level organizational and planning skills and the capability to plan and work in a dynamic environment.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
Need to have experience in the following areas:
1. Responsible for the daily operations of an individual project in accordance with the established ITT & Government policies, procedures, systems, and requirements.
2. Capable of running an entire project of $35 to $60 million per year.
3. Responsibilities include project start-up (phase-in) and subcontracting strategy, contract changes, customer daily relations, subcontractor relations and program reporting.
4. Performs ITT enterprise wide horizontal integration planning and interfaces to other functional operations and support systems.
5. Demonstrated high level of analytic skill in managing multiple tasks, managing large workforces, solving complex technical, administrative, and managerial problems.
6. Displays excellent customer relations and interpersonal skills.
7. Experience with all aspects of a project management (i.e., technical, contractual, human resources, administrative, financial).
8. Maintains required technical and financial reports to show progress of projects to ITT's senior management and the customer.
9. Organizes all project work and assigns responsibilities to subordinates.
10. Provides quality assurance for all project activity and oversees the successful completion of all assigned tasks. Required Experience: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in applicable field with 15-20 years related experience. Strong Technical Skills - The ideal candidate will have a military background (preferably US. Army) with experience in Logistics and Security. Strong Speaking and Writing Skills.
Experience: Minimum of ten years of related experience required and eight years of program management experience required. Requires experience in Program Office operations management, budgeting, planning and preparation of reports and proposals. Must have strong capability in team building and personnel development. Knowledge of DOD Customers is required. PMP certification is a plus. Must have excellent communications skills.
