Production Control Supervisor
Job Summary:
An immediate & urgent vacancy in a highly desirable location 45 miles east of Atlanta, Ga. withina leading, Tier II manufacturer of high quality, automotive parts.Position has responsibility for leading the plant’s Production Planning, Material Planning & Shipping team which includes:
Matching five month production forecasts of customers’ demand to inventory on hand & generating daily Production Reports – products to be manufactured per machine, per day
Planning the procurement of products with multi-month lead times
Interacting with customers regarding their needs, delivery releases, shipping orders, etc.
Position Responsibilities:
Leading a team of Production Planners, Material Planners & Shipping Coordinators to create & meet material & production schedules
Creating daily production schedules while maximizing cost effectiveness, product quality & U.S./global customers’ demand
Interacting with the manufacturing department to thoroughly understand their needs for materials
Coordinating through vendors the delivery of raw materials
Managing the shipping & receiving processes including the delivery of materials through inventory control & the oversight of finished goods
Planning for inventory by analyzing demand data & trends
Requirements:
Position Requirements:
3-5 years of material and/or production control experience within a manufacturing environment
Familiarity with the procurement process within a manufacturing environment
Competency in the use of Excel spreadsheets
Interpersonal skills appropriate for interactions with customers & team members
Preferred Experience & Education:
Automotive industry related experience
Bachelors degree
Compensation, Benefits & Relocation Package:
$50 - 55k starting base compensation dependent upon experience, participation in the quarterly plant-wide bonus program & annual merit reviews
