Production Control Planner II
BAE Systems is looking for a Production Control Planner to manage and support space level circuit card assembly workflow in the EMA (Electronic Mechanical Assembly) lab.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed. 2. Assure floor stock is at correct inventory levels including as required material and other common inventory. 3. Analyzes production requirements and processes to determine required capacity and shop loads. Is aware of equipment and personnel capacity and availability and may be required to schedule work in the absence of a supervisor. 4. Coordinates interdepartmental activity with QA, Material Planning, Stockroom, Engineering and Master Scheduling in order to keep product moving on the factory floor. 5. Hold weekly meeting with Operations Program Managers and Material planners. 6. Ensures Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System integrity and accuracy by reviewing system data and updating/correcting to assure that products are built to the latest released revision and that all required changes have been integrated into production builds.
1. Bachelors degree or equivalent related experience and at least two (2) years of related work experience in a production/manufacturing environment. 2. Ability to engage with various functions to support production activities; ensuring that product is completed in accordance with contractual delivery dates and requirements. 3. Ability to prepare data, present and hold meetings as required. 4. Use various computer systems to release kits, status Work in Process (WIP), and search for data, fill shortages, move material between projects, and complete kits.
1. Experience with space electronics production. 2. Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, customers and suppliers. 3. Ability to exert normal physical energy working in a normal manufacturing/office environment (Lab coat and ESD heel straps required). May be exposed to manufacturing noise.
