Job Purpose: Support product management objectives as defined in the division’s strategic marketing plan.
Essential Functions Supports Roger’s sales staff: Develops and implements sales tools (sales manual, application notes, data sheets, product-sampling etc.). Participates in sales training. Prepares target account lists, and makes joint customer visits with sales engineers as warranted. Provides technical support to customer service, field sales group, distributors, and customers. New Product Development. Assists in new product design, product extensions, market development, and market introduction through participation on Rogers CPD teams. Application and product support: Coordinates necessary activities amongst internal functions and ensures customer applications and new opportunities are adequately supported by engineering and operations. Competitive Intelligence. Develops and maintains competitor files, and maintains competitive position analysis document. Routinely conducts research on primary competitors to understand their product offering and marketing strategy. Pricing: Supports product management in maintaining pricing strategy, including building pricing structures, requests for quote and price exceptions, consistent with divisional financial goals and marketing manager guidelines. Conducts market research. Activities include the development and administration of written and oral surveys, directing and conducting literature and Internet searches, and identifying and communicating with industry experts. Frequent phone contact with customers. Development of strong working relationship with Rogers library staff and other similar resources. Product Promotion: Actively participates in trade show preparation, attends trade shows and analyzes results. Prepares marketing literature as warranted.
Required Qualifications:BS Engineering /Science or BS Business/Marketing plus at least 2 years of Marketing experience. 10% travel required. Due to ITAR regulations must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Preferred Qualifications: MBA/Marketing concentration. BS Engineering/Science with course work in Marketing or BS/BA Business/Marketing with course work in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering or related Technology. Experience in manufacturing or technical marketing role. This is a great opportunity to actively contribute to the growth of one HPFs largest product lines.
