Product Engineering Technician / Specialist (Printed Circuit Boards)
StrataFLEX Corporation provides highly reliable flexible printed circuit and assembly solutions including single sided, double sided, multilayer, rigid-flex and sculptured flex, to aerospace, defense, medical, instrumentation, and industrial customers. POSITION: Product Engineering Technician/Specialist REPORTS TO: Engineering Manager EDUCATION : Electrical/Electronics Engineering Degree or Diploma preferred or equivalent work experience REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 5 years experience in PCB manufacturing and assembly (Flex Circuit experience would be a definite asset). Experience using CAM350, CNC programming, PADS - Power PCB, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office The ability to assist in the creation of new product offerings and to manage existing customer relations. The ability to evaluate and execute job tasks. The ability to assess situations and develop solutions. The ability to prioritize work load. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. Thorough, accurate and detail oriented. A sense of urgency and the ability to work well under pressure. Ensures job tasks that impact others are completed promptly. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties include, but are not limited to the following: Prepares CAD Drawings, photoplot and CAM350 data generation required for the customers products. Reviews customers drawings and specifications to ascertain mechanical tolerances and assess manufacturing accordingly. Creates CNC drill and routing files. Creates laser programs for lasers. Creates AutoCAD drawings for steel rule dies. Interfaces with customers and with subcontractors required for specific projects. Assists other engineers with pre-production engineering functions and with creation of job travellers. Assists in setting up product realization processes within the company's MRP system. Follows all health and safety policies and procedures. Wears personal protective equipment as prescribed. Follows all company policies and procedures. Attends meetings as required and actively participates. Performs other duties as assigned.
