Location: US-IL-Lisle Travel: Up To 25% Position Purpose and Requirements:
Works with minimum supervision, provides technical and analytical support to Product Development Engineering. May provide direction and guidance to less experienced team members. Refers problems that cannot be resolved to the next level. Serves as a central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution. Involvement may last throughout all stages of a product’s lifecycle including modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line.
Basic Requirements:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology and at least 5 years experience in product design/development and at least 1 year leading others in engineer/design activities; OR * Master’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology and at least 3 years experience in product design/development and at least 1 year leading others in engineer/design activities; OR * PhD in Engineering or Engineering Technology

• At least 2 years of experience in engineering product development in the automotive/truck/transportation industry • Ability to travel up to 25%
Desired Skills:
• Ability to plan, manage, and deliver multiple assignments • Project management experience • Experience in commercial vehicle design and development • Experience with industry quality tools and process • Ability to lead design reviews • Technical knowledge of Powertrain systems in any of the following areas: o Cooling systems o Engine installations o Transmissions o Exhaust/aftertreatment o Air intake o Controls integration • Experience with manufacturing processes • Knowledge of diesel engine regulatory requirements – North American and Global markets • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills • Highly motivated, organized and self-disciplined • Ability to work in a team environment and with customers/suppliers
