Job Description :
1. An experienced Pro/E designer position performing assignments which include the planning, design and layout of new or existing products, components, assemblies and complicated layout drawings of assemblies and/or systems. 2. Create layouts, drawings, 3D models, tolerance calculations, material selections and construction evaluations per the established product specifications. 3. Modify existing designs and drawings in Pro/E and AutoCAD. 4. Maintain an effective liaison with manufacturing personnel to assist in solving technical problems with production products and to be familiar with production fabrication and assembly techniques. 5. Procure prototype samples and fixtures for initial evaluations. 6. Make recommendations that would result in more efficient use of manpower, equipment, material, product improvement and product cost reductions. 7. Assist less experienced drafters and product designers by providing input to the effective use of the Pro/E system and input to product designs. 8. Working knowledge of Bills of Materials. SAP experience preferred. 9. Familiar with drafting records documentation and nomenclature that may include Pro/E Intralink. 10. Assist in the procurement and the coordination of parts for trial runs with manufacturing. 11. Work in conjunction with manufacturing and suppliers to design products for manufacturing and provide the most economical and ergonomically friendly product. 12. Collaborate with global design teams. 13. Work in a self-motivated mode to produce high quality work in a timely manner. Job Requirements :
Knowledge of design layout drafting techniques, 3D modeling practices and procedures. Knowledge of engineering theory and its application to solve design and layout problems. Equivalent to 10+ years related drafting and product design experience including extensive additional technical school training and computer aided design. 5-7 years of Pro/E experience. Education :Associate Degree Category :Engineering Skill :Engineering ->CAD
