Procurement Field Rep 4

Apply knowledge of Interior installations related to Airline Customer owned equipment (Buyer Furnished Equipment or BFE seats, galleys/inserts, lavatories, in-flight entertainment systems) in the evaluation of supplier rework. Ability to direct, review and status supplier rework activities at Boeing by coordinating supplier workforce according to airplane production and test flights to maintain integrity of shop and airplane delivery schedules. Apply knowledge of BFE conformity and compliance requirements in order to challenge requests for rework that are not required or are unauthorized. Apply knowledge of Boeing (supply management, transportation/logistics, tool control, HAZMAT, SHEA, OSHA, WISHA safety requirements). Monitor supplier activity for adherence and take necessary disciplinary action, as required.

• Detailed Supplier Knowledge
Extensive knowledge of manufacturing, materials and assembly processes. Has an advanced ability to read blueprints and understands shop practices and manufacturing flow. Extensive knowledge of suppliers' capabilities to support Boeing production including, production, technical, service and design management. Also included is knowledge of business systems for example organizational structure, manufacturing processes, risk mitigation, capacity planning, past/present delivery performance, design definition, program directives, engineering drawings, change memos, wiring diagrams and schematics, functional tests, and supplier data.

• Effective Written Comm
Extensive understanding of the effectiveness of different communication materials (e.g., proposals, papers, user guides, reports, articles, promotional materials, brochures, web sites, presentations, speeches), to select and direct the preparation of materials to satisfy a variety of customer requirements.

• Scheduling Requirements
Extensive knowledge of customer and supplier requirements to support program deliveries, for example, planned versus unplanned demand, economic order quantity, resource planning, material type, manufacture or purchase, lead times. Limited knowledge of enterprise customer requirements. Supports cross program customer requirement requests.

• Supplier Management
Extensive knowledge of supplier assessment processes including Preferred Supplier Certification and Work Transfer Process. Has limited knowledge of elements of the assessment that includes supplier's past performance, business processes, capacity plan, statement of work evaluation, risk mitigation plan, capabilities and lean practices in order to rate supplier viability to support the Boeing companies goals and objectives. Ability to control and deliver project deliverables, project accounting and appraisal, and optimize the contribution of the people involved using project management tools.

Typical Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree and typically 10 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 8 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
