Process Engineer
POSITION SUMMARY:
Design, plan, and supervise; develop and implement improved ways to extract, process, and use raw materials; develop new ma
terials that both improve the performance of products and take advantage of advances in technology; analyze the impact of the products they develop or the systems they design on the environment and on people using them; determine the causes of breakdowns; test manufactured products to maintain quality; estimate the time and cost to complete projects.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Process engineering position within the Manufacturing Engineer Group supporting Plastics, including SMC press
engineering, water jet, bonding and foaming engineering duties. Responsible for all aspects of engineering analysis and
design.
2. Provides leadership in the design and development of Engineering projects with minimal direct supervision.
3. Provides leadership in the shop floor support and Kaizen activities within the respective department and directs the
activities of project teams and small group activities.
4. Performs process analysis and design and applies formal design of experiment techniques.
5. Provides direction to other engineers as well as maintenance and Unit Technicians.
6. Manages major capital projects and provides capital forecasts.
7. Serve as active member of Manufacturing Engineering Team.
8. Provides leadership to the Kaizen and process improvement activities with the production and maintenance personnel.
9. Trains others in formal engineering problem solving techniques.
10. Communicates to all appropriate levels/organizations within company.

Requirements:
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
Education / Experience 4 year technical degree required. Degree may be waived for proven, demonstrated, specialized, technical expertise of 8 years or more. Minimum of 2-5 years experience in an engineering role in a manufacturing environment, with progressively greater response.
Other Required Skills: Previous experience in plastics, SMC press, Fanuc programming, high volume production.
