We have an immediate opening for a Process Control Engineer in Cloquet, MN.
Process Control Engineer
(Engineering Department)
Responsibilities Include:
Initiate, facilitate and implement changes in processes and procedures that reduce operating costs while improving safety.
Design and implement hardware and software for the mill control systems including; Fisher Provox, Honeywell PlantScape, Rockwell PLC and ABB Advant. Perform control system tuning and trouble-shooting to maintain production and optimize process performance.
Monitor the daily control and stability of the plant processes in assigned area of expertise using data analysis tools.
Configure OSI PI system database for DCS/PLC data. Maintain daily awareness of plant and product quality for the mill processes.
Provide technical assistance to the mill operating and maintenance departments to maintain a 24/7 plant operation.
Update SAMA, PID, and logic drawings in area of assignment using AutoCAD. Be aware of technological advances and investigate how they can be adapted to improve the plant operation.
Design and configure control system strategies for new projects.
IT experience supporting servers and networks would be a plus
Requirements:
Qualifications Include:
B.S. in electrical or chemical engineering preferred. Or equivalent education with minimum of 3-5 years of experience with concentration in system integration, DCS and PLC configuration.
