Process Application Engineer - Unconventional Fuels
Role Summary/Purpose
The Unconventional Fuels Process Application Engineer (Drilling and Stimulation) provides technical support to the Regional team in the development of a pipeline of potential Unconventional Gas/Oil process opportunities incorporating GE products and services. This is done through a consultant, solutions approach in which the Process Application Engineer provides P&L neutral solutions to the customer demonstrating both technical expertise and building customer credibility. In this role, you will:
· Be active in promoting and positioning GE technology early in the Greenfield project phase
· Create value and influence by working closely with consultants, developers and customers to promote and position GE technology (Drilling & Surface, Power Generation including gas turbines, gas engines and Wind), Water Treatment, Compression, Motors and Energy Services)
· Collaborate and participate as a member of the Unconventional Fuels team to create and communicate the GE Energy value proposition
· Provide technical expertise to Sales & Commercial Operations in selecting, implementing, and developing competitive Power & Water, Oil & Gas products and Services applications to address energy efficiency, resource scarcity and environmental requirements
· Assess competitive system process performance & hardware evaluations for the Unconventional Gas / Oil space
· Identify customer’s needs (New Product Introduction) and communicate it back to the GE businesses
· Respond to various technical questions regarding GE products and systems solutions to retain and expand customer interest and achieve technical credibility
· Respond to various technical questions regarding, systems solutions based on process knowledge for Unconventional Gas / Oil
· Participate in customer presentations, discussions, negotiations, conferences, and all front line marketing/sales efforts in a technical sales role. Be a catalyst in problem solving
· Participate in the development and execution of GE business leadership training programs, through coaching & mentoring
Requirements:
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
· Minimum of 10 years oil field systems integration knowledge
· Minimum of 5 years experience in engineering or systems work areas associated with Drilling and Stimulation activities specifically related to Unconventional Gas / Oil developments
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS :
· Green Belt Certified (GE Employees only)
· Ability and willingness to travel

· Applied Field Level Experience in Unconventional Gas / Oil Operations
· Prior experience with customer specifications review, proposal development, and contract development and negotiations
· Knowledge of power / water plant operations scope and facility economics
· Experience in commercial environment with sales, marketing, application engineering or customer service
